Palm One has introduced more design cell phone Palm One Treo 700w. It is a loudmouth. Alarms, ringtones and general audio through the back of a great orator fire will their attention. The speaker is located on the back so that it is no coincidence deaf when an alarm goes off while holding the phone to the head in conversation. The speakerphone is very loud and clear too. The phone supports MIDI, MP3, WMA and WAV Ringtones (just drag the new folder inside ring the Windows folder on the Treo). Like all Windows Mobile phones, the Treo can play MP3s with the included Windows Media Player 10 Mobile, even with protection Play For Sure DRM content.
Windows Media Player also handles WMA, ASF and WMV to play the movie. To view AVI, DIVX and MPEG formats or listen to several other OGG music, download The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP), an excellent free open source player which works fine on the Treo. We use TCPMP to run our point reference video playback test, and threw our usual test file at it: "The Chosen" (a neat BMW movie with Clive Owen), 4:26 that is one minute long, 10 meg MPEG1 file recorded at 320 x 240, 308 kb / s. The results are not surprising for a file encoded at a fairly low bitrate, but it handles very well with the videos at 550 kbps. The 700w runs on a 312 MHz processor Intel XScale with ~ 25 megs of RAM available for programs and 128 megs of flash ROM where you live operating system and where you can install programs and data.
There are 62 megs of free storage memory on the Treo 700w, which is a generous helping of space. Since is a Windows Mobile 5.0 provides persistent storage which means your data will survive a complete battery discharge. The Palm A Treo 700w uses Microsoft's no-frills Bluetooth stack which has no assistants or anyone else walk easily through the connection process. Although Spartan it gets the job done and can be used to link to any supported device (since no list of attendees connect devices, sensing devices Supported Bluetooth profiles and is part of the course). The Treo supports headset, handsfree, serial port (used for GPS) and HID (keyboards and mice) profiles. We tested the Treo with Think Outside Bluetooth Wireless keyboard using only the built-in operating system drivers and it worked well.
The camera can take photos up to 1280 x 1024 resolution and supports lower resolutions such as QVGA 160 x 140. The application offers 7 brightness settings (normal and up to + or – 3 EV) along with zoom 2x digital. You can save images to internal memory or an SD card into one of three quality settings and set the image prefix as you wish. The Treo 700w can record video with audio (audio can be disabled if desired) and can be set to 15 seconds, 30 seconds or no time limit. The phone saves videos in format .3 G2 in 176 x 144 or 352 x 288 resolution and also has 7 recording levels of brightness. Like still images, video lacks color and is of a quality average compared to other camera phones U.S. less than shocks than most. Audio is recorded at 8kHz and our samples reported video at 26 fps.
