What is wrong with my Bluetooth headset?

I have the Samsung M500 and Bluetooth capabilities. I tried three different Bluetooth headsets, Ericson HBH608, Saunsung WEP 200 and Motorola H700. I can hear others fine, but my friends on the other end has a very hard time hearing me. I have to get the bluetooth so they can hear me. They say it sounds like I'm on the other side of the room talking on the phone, or above where I am. I'm tired of shopping around for headphones Bluetooth works well for others at the other end. Is it me or is Bluetooth only is unreliable and unstable? More information: I have a good signal where I am, area as no surprise, my phone is usually on my phone while I'm on the headset (not much), no low battery probs (usually tested total battery), headset is not cheap (recommended brands).
