Nokia 5300 – Music to your ears
In 2006, the cell phone rage includes more than the phone-with-little more than five years only style before. Not only are phones of 2006 full of great looks, is packed with features to make them more musical as a form of Walkman call home.
The Nokia N91 has everything except the kitchen sink, far more than most users need. Nokia answered the call of the casual user wanted integrated music features without being able to beam satalite in space when it introduced the 5300 Xpress Music phone.
The first time you establish your eyes on the Nokia 5300, you may not say "WOW!" The exterior design is a bit more square and bulky than the upper middle-of-the-line phone mobile. The 5300 measures 3.6 by 1.9 by 0.8 inches thick, but is lighter than it looks, weighing just over 3.5 ounces.
While the device closure is not very noticeable, try to open the small treasure and find it is not designing the cover of last year. This is a slider phone, one of the first to put out by Nokia, but you do not know, when you feel the ease of the slide. You will not get the baby in his crib to feel the hand of the spoon, but that is the nature of a slider phone.
The screen is a total of 2 inches and supports over 250K colors. Graphics and text off the screen of 320 x 240 pixels. You can adjust the font size and backlight time, although you can adjust the brightness. Do not worry, the screen is quite bright in dark areas and outside shadow. Nokia took the perfection of color with its eye catching, but not flashy, the menus.
Speaking of menus, Nokia really did well on this phone. It provides clear and concise descriptions of new users of the applications of yesteryear are not familiar with when you place the cursor on the icon menu.
The navigation controls are covered in a rubber film that provides some traction for the fingers. There are five positions which makes navigating menus a breeze, and provides a shortcut to four functions of your program. Additional shortcuts are available in the standby screen, too. The two soft keys are programmable and family standard discussion and end buttons are in the same place as other phones Nokia.
Looks are not everything, however, and at some point you're probably much more than look at his new mobile phone. This is where it really shines this cell. To the left of the screen are buttons dedicated to play music from your favorite songs. You pause, play, fast forward and rewind your tracks effortlessly. Adjust the volume rocker dedicated to the right side of the phone.
The music player is far superior to other midrange with Device prices. The stereo Bluetooth makes for easy transfer of music files from computer to phone. Speakers are music phones much better than other models of Nokia and most others. Support for MP3, AAC, AAC + and WMA are all included.
While you are playing music tracks, the screen will present you the name of the song, artist, album and song length. It also shows you how to use the buttons navigation of music that are on the side of the screen. Play modes include shuffle and repeat. If you like to customize your listening experience, you'll love the Nokia 5300. The equalizer has five preset modes and two that can be customized. You can effortlessly Save tracks in tones too.
The sound quality is unsurpassed. The speakers will be to their liking at any volume level. The headphone volume is so clear and crisp as your home stereo.
More than a phone and a music device, the 5300 has plenty to offer additional applications. The phone book is large capacity, allowing up to one thousand contacts, complete with information such as email addresses, URL of the Web, up to five numbers each, date of birth, business, job, notes and address. The SIM card can store an additional 250 contacts. Organize contacts by group or add a picture caller ID so you can keep everyone straight. You can also assign a ringtone to each contact or group.
The text and multimedia messaging capabilities meet and exceed the expectations of most users. With the data recognition T9, this Nokia will complete your words for you. Other standard features included integrated in this phone are the stopwatch, alarm clock, calendar, task list, memo pad and calculator.
If you need more space for music, photos, contacts, the SD card to expand storage to 2 GB. Nokia does not consider that some users would switch SD cards, apparently, as it is located under the battery. If you do not take their cards and go often, you will not find this is a problem. If cards are often changed, however, you may want to maintain a thin screwdriver handy.
I can not say about the Nokia 5300 without having to spend a few words on the Bluetooth function. The infrared port is located on the side convienantly phone, making synchronization easy. Check and send email, the issues of net surfing and downloading whenever you want.
Broken images with the camera function will not leave you disappointed. The 1.3 megapixel capture photos in one of six resolutions. Ranging from 1290 x 960 to 160 x 120, you will find the photos are crisp, colors jpg. There are three ways camera, color effects, the ability to add notes to photos, a timer for 10 seconds, shooting to take three photos in rapid-fire, a digital zoom 8x and the ability to adjust contrast. You can adjust the brightness and no flash, but those are the only real places this camera falls short.
Video Shoot in 3GPP in one of the two resolutions of 176 x 144 or 129 x 96. The quality is nothing worth writing home about, but it's pretty standard for a 1.3 megapixel camera.
With the price tag at around $ 300 when it was released in early 2006, this phone is music to the ears without losing detail of its portfolio.
